Are you curious about how trees are used? Ever wanted to visit a mill to see wood turned into products? We're opening this Alamco Mill Tour up to MN Women's Woodland Network participants. Please consider attending.
Alamco Wood Products Inc is a custom laminate facility that makes building infrastructure.
This tour is on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 11:30 am - 3 pm. Parking and departure will be from the Heintz Center, RCTC, 1926 Collegeview Rd E, Rochester, MN 55904. Park across from Olmsted Medical Center hospital on the west side of the building and enter through door HC 14. The group will gather there.
Some of the laminate gluing stops at 1:30 so we're shooting for a 12:30 arrival at the mill in Albert Lea, MN followed-by a 1 hour tour. I recommend bringing a brown bag lunch to eat in the van, in transit. Food is NOT included in this free tour.
